Researchers at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchi (NIT–T) have manufactured eco-friendly paver blocks using legacy waste extracted from the Ariyamangalam dump. According to an official release on Friday, NIT-T’s civil engineering team utilised Soil-Like Material (SLM), which constitutes about 53% of the legacy waste, as a component of its blocks. Historically, SLM has been dumped into low-lying areas due to limited reuse options.
