Andhra Pradesh Nirudyoga Joint Action Committee (JAC) convenor Shaik Siddiq on Tuesday met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and requested him to increase the age limit for government jobs to 46 years. In a representation submitted to Mr. Naidu, the JAC leader pointed out that in the past five years, under the previous YSRCP government, no job notifications were issued. As a result, many unemployed candidates lost their eligibility due to the age limit, and lakhs of candidates missed opportunities. Citing the example of neighbouring State of Telangana, where the upper age limit for government jobs is 46 years, he stated that Andhra Pradesh could follow the same policy in this regard.
