The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence at the national-level Medical Colleges Research Connect–2026 conference, in recognition of the institute’s contribution to biomedical research.

The two-day conference was organised by the Department of Health Research under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in New Delhi on February 26 and 27. More than 100 medical colleges from across the country took part in the event. The awards were presented to institutions that demonstrated outstanding performance among Multi-Disciplinary Research Units.
