The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bengaluru police has arrested two persons, including a foreign national, for allegedly peddling narcotic substances, and seized drugs worth around ₹1 crore. The arrested have been identified as Uche Ndudi, 25, a Nigerian national, and Akash, a resident of Begur in Bengaluru. According to the police, acting on specific information that a foreign national residing within the limits of K.R. Puram police station was involved in drug peddling, the CCB conducted an operation and arrested Ndudi. From his possession, police allegedly seized cocaine worth approximately ₹50.6 lakh, along with a mobile phone and a two-wheeler allegedly used for transporting the drugs. In a separate operation, based on information that a person residing in AECS Layout, under the jurisdiction of Begur police station, was supplying the banned narcotic substance hydro ganja to acquaintances, the CCB conducted a search and arrested Akash. Police recovered hydro ganja worth about ₹48 lakh from Akash, along with other materials used for drug distribution, the CCB said. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the drugs and identify possible links to a wider drug network.
