The State government on Friday issued orders appointing new Police Commissioners for Kochi, Kozhikode, and Kollam cities as part of a reshuffle in some of the top IPS posts in the State. Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar, Inspector General of Police, Traffic and Road Safety Management, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Kochi City. Jaidev G., currently Superintendent of Police (Internal Security), State Special Branch is the new Commissioner, Kozhikode City. Hemalatha, currently District Police Chief, Ernakulam Rural, the new Commissioner of Police, Kollam City. Narayanan T. who was Kozhikode City Commissioner, has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Thrissur Range. Arul R.B. Krishna IPS, DIG, Thrissur Range, is the new DIG, Ernakulam Range. Hari Sankar, is the new DIG, Armed Police Battalions. Kiran Narayanan, who was Kollam City Commissioner, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (Internal Security), State Special Branch. Sudarsan K.S., District Police Chief, (Thiruvananthapuram Rural) is the new District Police Chief (Ernakulam Rural). Farash T., Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Thiruvananthapuram City, is the new District Police Chief (Kozhikode Rural). Arun K. Pavithran, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order and Traffic, Kozhikode City, is the new District Police Chief, Wayanad. Taposh Basumatary, currently District Police Chief, Wayanad, is the new Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order and Traffic, Thiruvananthapuram City. Juvvanapudi Mahesh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order 2, Kochi City, has been posted as District Police Chief, Thiruvananthapuram Rural. Shahansha K.S., Superintendent of Police, Railways, will replace him as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order 2, Kochi City. K.E. Baiju, currently District Police Chief, Kozhikode Rural, has been posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Coastal Police. Padam Singh, who was holding the latter post, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order and Traffic, Kozhikode City. Mohammad Nadeemuddin, Commandant, Kerala Armed Women Police Battalion, has been posted as SP, Railways.
