New Collector assumes office in Karur

K. Ravikumar assumed charge as Collector of Karur district on Tuesday. He replaces M. Thangavel, who was on medical leave.

Mr. Ravikumar was previously working as Sub Collector at Ponneri in Thiruvallur district. He has been appointed Collector when the Election Commission is expected to announce the dates for the State Assembly election shortly. He held a discussion with the heads of various departments.
