Kakinada MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao inspecting Kumbabhishekam fish landing point on the outskirts of Kakinada city. | Photo Credit: ARRANGEMENT Kakinada MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao has announced that a new bridge has been proposed to be built across the backwaters of Kumbabhishekam, enabling the traditional fishing boats to venture into sea for fishing from Kumbabhishekam fish landing point on the outskirts of Kakinada city. The fishing boats have to enter the sea passing under the nearly 30 metre-long bridge and the existing bridge is in a dilapidated state. The bridge is also sole access for vehicles transporting goods from Kakinada Deep Sea port and fish from the fish landing point.
