Nearly 30,000 students will appear for Intermediate examinations in Nandyal district, scheduled from February 23 to March 24.

During a review of examination arrangements, District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya announced that 15,443 students are set to appear for the first-year exams, while 14,424 will sit for the second-year assessments. The Collector asked the officials to impose Section 144 near all the examination centres and allocated Deputy Tahsildars for the flying squads.

The Collector instructed District Medical and Health officials to ensure first aid kits are available at all 55 examination centres. She directed the municipal authorities to maintain proper sanitation near the exam centres. Ms. Rajakumari instructed officials to ensure adequate lighting, drinking water, and wall clocks in all exam rooms for the students’ convenience.

The Collector also asked the Police Department to make proper bandobust arrangements for smooth conduct of the examinations. She instructed the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) officials to run buses from rural areas so that the students would reach their exam centres on time.

Ms. Rajakumari instructed officials to immediately transfer the written answer sheets to nearby post offices under police protection.

Meanwhile, Additional Superintendent of Police Yugandhar Babu announced that once the question paper set is finalised, they will be transported under police protection, with Section 144 imposed at all examination centres.
