Minister for Excise & Prohibition Kollu Ravindra has said that TDP-led NDA regime’s social justice policies were based on the ideology of former Deputy Prime Minister and a champion of social justice Babu Jagjivan Ram.

Speaking after garlanding his statue near Annamayya Circle here on Sunday on his 119th birth anniversary, Mr. Ravindra said social equality and development of the oppressed sections remained the hallmark of the TDP regime, right from its inception in the 1980s by actor-turned-politician N.T. Rama Rao.

Hailing Jagjivan Ram for having headed crucial portfolios like Agriculture, Defence and Labour during his three decades’-old stint in the Cabinet, Mr. Ravindra said he remained a ray of hope for the oppressed sections of society to stay resilient and fight injustice.
