When asked about the Prime Minister’s visit to the State, he said that the date has not been finalised yet, but it would be at the end of this month. Replying to a query on how many seats have been finalised (for the parties in the alliance), Mr. Nagenthran said he would share those details later. He did not respond to a question on how many seats the BJP intended to contest in Tamil Nadu for the upcoming Assembly polls. The meeting at Mr. Palaniswami’s residence in Chennai on Friday followed his meeting with senior BJP leader and Union Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi earlier this week. Senior AIADMK leader and former Minister K.P. Munusamy was also present at the meeting. BJP functionaries R.N. Jaya Prakash, M. Chakravarthy, K.P. Ramalingam, and K.T. Raghavan were among those who accompanied Mr. Nagentharan.
