Prithvi, a 13-year-old male tiger at the Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens in Mysuru, is in critical condition and undergoing treatment following health complications.

The tiger has been suffering from congenital paresis, a neurological disorder. His condition worsened on April 6, necessitating immediate veterinary intervention.

Zoo Executive Director Anusha said expert zoo veterinarians are closely monitoring Prithvi and administering treatment. The tiger is currently housed at the Chamundi Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre in Koorgalli, where he is undergoing treatment.

The tiger’s condition remains serious. According to the zoo management, all necessary medical support is being extended on the advice of veterinarians.
