According to the police, a PCR call was received at the KNK Marg police station reporting that a body was lying in the Haiderpur Water Canal. When officers reached the spot, they found the dismembered body of a man, estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old. “Old cuts were also observed on both arms. The person appeared to have died two days ago,” a police officer said. A crime team and a forensic science team were called to inspect the area and collect evidence. The body was later shifted to the mortuary at Dr. BSA Hospital for preservation and post-mortem examination. An FIR has been registered and further investigation is under way.
