MP reviews electricity service expansion progress

MP M. Sribharat along with District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad reviewed the progress of electricity service expansion and development works during the District Electricity Committee meeting held at the Collectorate on Wednesday.

They reviewed the progress of underground cabling works, EHT substations, 33/11 kV substations, and interlinking infrastructure projects in the district. The MP instructed officials to expedite the works and complete them within the stipulated timelines. Details regarding additional power transformers (PTRs), proposed new substations, and feeder stations were also discussed. He further urged the administration to effectively implement the centrally sponsored Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), with a focus on reducing transmission and distribution losses, implement smart metering systems, and strengthening power infrastructure.
