According to the police, the injured Dhanasekaran, a retired government servant, lost control of the two-wheeler he was riding when the banner fell over him. In the impact, he was thrown into a drainage channel on the roadside. Dhanasekaran was immediately rushed to the government hospital here but was later shifted to a private hospital in Chennai after his health condition worsened, the police said. The Ariankuppam police have registered a case and arrested a TVK functionary and two of the actor’s fans in the incident.
