Most parts of Tamil Nadu are likely to experience below normal rainfall during the upcoming southwest monsoon (SW). In its long-range forecast for southwest monsoon this year, the India Meteorological Department has said the seasonal rainfall between June and September in the State will be below average rainfall in most districts. Those districts along Western Ghats, however, may receive above normal rainfall this year.
