Speaking at a public meeting in Ramanathapuram, he said that the people of Tamil Nadu were well aware of the BJP and RSS. The frequent visits of the leaders from New Delhi is only going to give more and more votes to the DMK and its allies. The people were much disappointed. Many are angry against the Union government for not giving the due share of funds to the State. Hence, when the BJP leaders came here seeking votes, the people would cast in favour of the DMK and its allies and punish the NDA candidates. The DK leader explained the salient features of the DMK government’s poll promises to the people across the State. The fight was only between the DMK front and the NDA. The TVK was nowhere in the scene. Vijay may be popular and a celebrity, but it is not easy to win over politics, he said. The NDA will also be exposed post elections as the voters were agitated with the BJP. Be it the new education policy or other issues, the Union government continued to be indifferent to Tamil Nadu. From the days of Anna, the State has been adopting the two language formula and it would continue. For taking up more and more welfare projects to the masses, people should vote for the DMK government led by M. K. Stalin, Mr Veeramani said.
