Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, and Women & Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) on Monday issued a legal notice to former Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao demanding an unconditional public apology over alleged defamatory statements related to the distribution of mobile phones to anganwadi centres. The legal notice called upon Mr. Rao to take steps to immediately delete the objectionable social media posts and issue a public apology within 48 hours of receiving the notice, or else civil and criminal defamation proceedings will be initiated.
