Gandhi officially inaugurated a mini handloom park at Jeeva Nagar, Emanneswaram near Paramakudi here on Wednesday The project which followed the announcement made by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin during the 2023-2024 budget session, enabled the establishment of 10 mini handloom parks across the State at an initial estimate of ₹2 crore each. This specific park was constructed on land owned by the Paramakudi-Emanneswaram Industrial Weavers Cooperative Society.
