Minister for Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath on Tuesday (January 13, 2026) said that the government is handing over Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TIDCO) houses to the beneficiaries only after the completion of basic infrastructure facilities.

Mr. Bharath along with Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) Commissioner P. Viswanatha handed over TIDCO houses constructed at Jagannathagattu on the outskirts of the city to 95 beneficiaries. Speaking on the occasion, he said that they would hand over TIDCO houses to another 500 beneficiaries in February.

“We have provided water supply and electricity to the TIDCO houses at Jagannathagattu. Soon, bus facility will also be provided and a police outpost will be set up,” Mr. Bharath said. He urged the beneficiaries to shift to their allotted houses at the earliest, which would make other beneficiaries also to shift there. The Minister said that the development of TIDCO houses has been made possible because of the visionary leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The Minister criticised the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government for neglecting the construction of TIDCO houses. “As the TIDCO houses were constructed near the Orvakal Industrial Park, people living there will get employment opportunities,” he said.

Mr. Bharath also said that they constructed a stadium in front of the TIDCO housing complex and the area will be developed in all aspects. He also participated in Sankranti celebrations held by various organisations in the city on Tuesday.
