Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar directed the officials of his department to initiate the construction of a dedicated power substation for Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam, keeping in view the growing needs of devotees visiting the temple.

The Minister on Tuesday toured the Srisailam and Dornala regions and held a review meeting with officials on temple development works, pilgrim amenities, and infrastructure facilities. During the meeting, he emphasised the importance of uninterrupted power supply to Srisailam and associated facilities.

Mr. Ravi Kumar also held a special meeting with power department officials and discussed the establishment of an underground cable system for Srisailam temple to ensure safety, reliability, and aesthetic improvement in the temple surroundings.

He also instructed officials to complete the necessary works required to enable the smooth movement of Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramaramba temple chariots, ensuring convenience and safety for devotees during festivals.

Meanwhile, at Dornala, Mr. Ravi Kumar interacted with members of the Chenchu tribal community and listened to their grievances and requests. The Minister assured them that the government would examine the feasibility of providing electricity for agricultural purposes to tribal hamlets on the lines of the existing solar power model. The Minister directed officials to ensure that all works related to temple development, infrastructure enhancement, and tribal welfare were completed within a period of three months.
