Residents in and around Vijayapura felt a minor earthquake on Tuesday morning. There were mild tremors for a few seconds at around 11.45 a.m. Residents of Adarsh Nagar, Bhootanal, Pani Nagar, Honawad Road, and Solapur Cross were affected, but there were no reports of loss of property or life. The earthquake was rated at 2.7 on the Richter scale, as per the National Centre for Seismology (NCS). A message shared by NCS on social media said the epicentre of the earthquake was around 150 km east of Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
