Medical student ends life in Shivamogga

A medical student, a native of Tumakuru district, allegedly died by suicide at a hostel on the Shivamogga Institute of Medical Sciences campus in Shivamogga on Wednesday night.

Sandeep Raj, 27, was a postgraduate student in the Department of Radiology. He is said to have left a death note. Doddapete police have registered an unnatural death report.

Shivamogga SP Nikhil B. told the media that the student had mentioned his health issue in the death note. The family has been informed, he said. .
