A large number of followers and devotees of Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swami of Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysuru, are expected to take part in a mass rendition of Hanuman Chalisa at the Maharaja’s College Grounds here on Saturday.

The programme is being organised by the Avadhoota Datta Peetham, and Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swami will lead the rendition in both Hindi and Kannada. Arrangements for the same are being made at the venue as the organisers are expecting a large turnout with the event falling on the eve of Mahashivarathri.

Ahead of the event, a publicity campaign was launched with a vehicle modified as a chariot being taken around the city to create awareness. It was flagged-off by the seer at the ashram premises here on Tuesday. The seer also released the pamphlets containing details of the programme on the occasion. Several organisations have volunteered support to the event.
