The Mangaluru police on Sunday, January 11, arrested a woman hailing from Uganda, on charges of supplying narcotic drugs to several drug peddlers operating in Mangaluru. A team of city police arrested her in Bengaluru and seized ₹4 crore worth of MDMA.

In a statement, Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy said — on information provided by the alleged drug peddlers arrested in December 2025 — that the Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths were on the lookout for one Jalia Zalwango.
