A 49-year-old man was killed after his two-wheeler rammed a stray cow near the Mathur toll plaza on Thursday (April 2, 2026) morning. His wife, who was riding pillion, sustained minor injuries. The police have launched a probe to trace the cattle owner. According to the Red Hills Traffic Investigation Wing (TIW), the deceased, Arunagiri, 49, of Annai Sivagami Nagar in Ennore, suffered severe head injuries and died while being taken to Government Stanley Hospital. His wife, Devi, 40, is undergoing treatment.
