A 48-year-old man, who was hit by a lorry near Ramalingapuram on April 6, succumbed to his injuries at Government Salem Hospital on Saturday (April 11). The deceased was identified as M. Baskar (48), a resident of Kakkayan Colony near Karipatti who worked at a photo-framing shop in Chennai. Baskar was walking home after reaching Salem on April 6 when the incident occurred. He had sustained grievous injuries. The Karipatti police registered a case.
