Nandyal police arrested a man for his alleged involvement in house burglaries and recovered 42 tola stolen gold ornaments from him. Addressing the media here on Sunday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Suneel Sheoran said the accused, Sohail Khan alias Sameer Khan/Zaheer Khan, hails from Bengaluru North in Karnataka. The SP said that Sohail Khan has been evading arrest after allegedly committing two house burglaries in Nandyal I Town and Atmakur police limits in 2025. Mr. Suneel Sheoran said the accused was caught near SRBC canal on Atmakur-Velugodu road. The SP said the accused was addicted to vices and was also involved in several theft cases in Kuppam, Penukonda and in Karnataka. The accused was sent to judicial remand in some of these cases. Police recovered 42 tola gold ornaments worth nearly ₹65 lakh from the accused.
