In a daring incident, a 30-year-old man, R. Ramasamy was hacked to death by a four-member team, including his nephew, V. Praveen (20), at Aviyur bus stop on Tuesday morning. The police said the deceased, a mason, was waiting near a tea stall when Praveen and his friends attacked him with lethal weapons and killed him on the spot. The incident happened in full public view at around 9 a.m. After the police took the body to Virudhunagar Government Medical College hospital. The police said that Ramasamy and his elder brother Venkatesan has enmity over property sharing. The enmity continued between the families even after the death of Venkatesan and that led to the murder. The police have arrested Venkatesan’s son Praveen and his friends Chellapandi, Sanjeevi and Karuppasamy.
