The Fast Track Mahila Court in Udhagamandalam on Friday sentenced a 24-year-old man to undergo life in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in 2024. According to the police, T. Sathish Kumar from Kil Thalaiyatti Mund had stopped the victim while she was using a deserted single-lane pathway near the tree arboretum to return home on August 6, 2024. The accused is said to have committed the crime and also threatened to murder her, before fleeing.
