A 34-year-old man ended his life after allegedly killing his three children at Thodumuldinne village of Uyyalawada mandal in Nandyal district on Wednesday late night. The person, identified as Vemulapati Surendra, had reportedly been in a state of depression after his wife Maheswari ended her life in August last year. Surendra, a daily wager, had three children—Kavya (7), Dhyanaeshwari (4) and Surya Gagan (2). Surendra, who was unable to come to terms with his wife’s death, had also been facing financial difficulties in running the family. The police suspect that Surendra might have made his three children drink milk laced with poison before ending his life. A case has been registered. Investigation is on.
