A 26-year-old man fell to his death from the 16th floor of an apartment in Bagalagunte on Wednesday.

The deceased, Nikshep Bangera, was living with his parents and sister in an apartment at Shettihalli in Bengaluru North after returning to the city from Europe after six years, where he was pursuing higher studies.

After his return, he reportedly began exhibiting aggressive behaviour. The doctors diagnosed him with psychological problems and he was under medication, said the police.

On Wednesday morning, Nikshep informed his mother that he was going to a math at Hesarghatta.

Later, around 8.30 a.m., Ravi, president of the Princeton Apartment Association, called the family and asked them to come down to the ground floor. On reaching there, they found that Nikshep had fallen from the 16th floor and died on the spot.

The apartment security guard alerted the police control room.

The father of the deceased later approached the police station and filed a report stating that his son, who had been suffering from mental illness for several years, had died after falling from the apartment building.

The complainant has stated that he has no suspicion against anyone in connection with the death and requested the police to conduct further legal procedures.
