A 45-year-old person from Chikkamagaluru taluk was accused of sexually harassing a minor girl in May 2025. The Mallanduru police registered a case under the POCSO Act and conducted the investigation. Aldur Circle Inspector Some Gowda P.P. filed the charge sheet. The Additional District and Sessions Judge heard the case, convicted the accused, and imposed a penalty of ₹25,000. The court also ordered a compensation of ₹1 lakh to the survivor. Special prosecutor Bharat Kumar represented the prosecution.
