A 30-year-old man was beaten to death near Pallavan Salai on Thursday following a petty quarrel. Police sources said the victim, Kalaichelvan, 30, a resident of Pallavan Salai, reportedly went in an autorickshaw with his friend in an inebriated state early on Thursday morning. It is alleged that Kalaichelvan urinated from the moving autorickshaw, and the urine fell on a woman who was passing by that way.
