The Macherla Town Police on Thursday (April 9, 2026) arrested a man on a charge of attempted rape and produced him before a court, Superintendent of Police B. Krishna Rao said. The accused, Namala Srinivas alias Sanju, a native of Rajupalem, was remanded to judicial custody by the Additional Junior Civil Judge First Class Magistrate court in Macherla.
