The Guindy police have arrested a man on charges of attempting to steal batteries from a generator on Dr. M.G.R. Medical University campus. In a complaint filed by the Registrar of the university, Sivasangeetha, it was stated that an unidentified person had entered the campus in the early hours of March 15 and attempted to steal four Exide batteries fitted to a generator. The suspect fled the scene after noticing people approaching.
