KHAMMAM The Khammam Cyber Crime Police on Thursday arrested a person for watching and sharing Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material (CSEAM) on social media. The police identified the accused as V. Niranjan Kumar, 40, a resident of Srinivasa Nagar in Khammam. Based on specific inputs from the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) and other agencies, the cyber crime police traced and arrested the accused in the town on Thursday, police said. The accused was booked under Section 15 of the POCSO Act and Section 67B of the IT Act for downloading and circulating CSEAM on social media. Khammam Police Commissioner Sunil Dutt appreciated the Khammam cyber crime police for their swift action leading to the arrest of the accused in the case.
