The Hubballi Police have arrested a man on the charge of dowry harassment after his 23-year-old wife was declared brought dead by hospital authorities. Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar told presspersons that Ashwini was found unconscious in her house in Hubballi and doctors declared her brought dead after she was taken to hospital on Sunday. Ashwini fell in love with Nikhil and married him five years ago. The Police Commissioner said that Ashwini’s family members complained to the police that Nikhil used to harass her for dowry and based on their complaint, the accused has been arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
