The accused in the custody of excise staff in Vikarabad district. One person was taken into custody by the excise officials on Saturday for cultivating ganja in agricultural fields in Vikarabad district. The officials seized 2.57 kilograms of dry ganja during the raid. The operation was carried out by Vikarabad District Task Force, which conducted searches in the fields belonging to the accused Boini Ravi, a resident of Kudugunta village in Marpally mandal. Police said the accused cultivated ganja as inter-crop alongside turmeric, attempting to conceal the illegal crop among the standing plants. The seized contraband and case papers were handed over to Mominpet police station staff for further investigation.
