Chandrachari allegedly poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze in the backyard of his house late at night. Hearing her screams, the family members doused the flames and took her to a hospital in Hassan, where she succumbed to burn injuries later on Monday. Chandrachari’s son Shivaraj, filed a complaint with the Alur police. In his complaint, he said his parents had differences over a court case. He wanted his wife to withdraw the case. The Alur police have registered the case.
