TPCC president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud has dared the Opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leadership, demanding that party supremo and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and working president K.T. Rama Rao undergo drug testing by facing the ‘White Challenge’ to prove their innocence.

Participating in the motion of thanks to the Governor’s Address in the Legislative Council on Tuesday, Mahesh Kumar asked, “Are you (BRS legislators) ready for a drug test?” asserting that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was prepared to take the test. “Are you ready to bring each candidate who received a BRS B-Form?” he asked.

This challenge followed the recent EAGLE raid on a Moinabad farmhouse over the weekend, where several individuals, including former BRS MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy, tested positive for narcotics.

The Congress MLA accused the BRS of double standards, pointing out that those who once insisted on breathalyzer tests were now resisting drug analysis. He alleged that drug consumption, including marijuana, had surged during the previous BRS’s decade-long rule, pushing large numbers of youth into addiction.

“It is extremely unfortunate that people expected to be role models are themselves linked to drugs,” he said, calling the situation a direct consequence of the previous government’s failures. Defending the Congress government, Mahesh Kumar said operations like HYDRAA would continue despite ‘false propaganda’ from the Opposition. He also highlighted several lake restoration works.
