Moorthy Describing the international status accorded to Madurai Airport as a good news, Virudhunagar MP B. Manickam Tagore has exuded hope that this development will increase international flight connectivity from Madurai. In a social media post, Mr. Tagore, who is also the Chairperson of Madurai Airport Advisory Committee, said a long-felt demand, for which MPs from southern districts had raised their voice, had been fulfilled. “This move does not have any financial burden (on the Centre),” said the Congress MP, under whose constituency the airport falls.
