A student of Madin Academy here has achieved a milestone by securing the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Chinese language, awarded by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Mohammed Ashique Adani is the only student from the other backward classes (OBC) category this year to earn the fellowship in Chinese.

Mr. Adani, who completed 10 years of spiritual and temporal education at Madin Academy’s School of Excellence, is currently pursuing his postgraduate studies at the Central University of Gujarat, Vadodara.

He began learning Chinese at Madin Academy after completing high school. Recalling his early experiences, Mr. Adani said, “Learning Chinese was challenging in the beginning because it is drastically different from other languages. I initially started learning it on my mobile phone.”

Opportunities to study Chinese in Kerala were limited, but Mr. Adani credited the consistent guidance and support he received from Madin Academy chairman Syed Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari and his teachers for keeping him motivated. “Their encouragement made me persist in my pursuit despite the difficulties,” he said.

Looking ahead, Mr. Adani aspires to work in the rapidly growing Chinese-Arab diplomatic sphere.

Madin Chairman Syed Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari praised Mr. Adani’s determination, noting that it was his willpower that enabled him to master the Chinese language despite numerous challenges.
