The car festival of Sri Kasi Viswanathar temple in Tenkasi. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Thousands of devotees thronged the Maasi car festival of Sri Kasi Viswanathar temple in Tenkasi on Sunday. The main deity Sri Kasi Viswanathar was placed in a decorated car and the procession began to the accompaniment of traditional Panchavaadhyam music. The temple car was taken around the four mada streets amid devotional fervour. Then, Goddess Ulagamman was also placed in the same car, which again went around the four mada streets.
