The lawyers’ canteen at the Delhi High Court on Wednesday suspended preparation of main course meals due to unavailability of LPG gas cylinders. In a notice, the canteen management said they were unable to cook regular meals as the gas supply had run out and there was no clarity on when fresh cylinders would be available. “Due to the unavailability of the LPG gas cylinders at present, we regret that we are unable to prepare and serve the main course items in the lawyers’ canteen,” the notice stated, adding that normal cooking operations would resume once the supply is restored. The canteen, however, clarified that it would continue to serve alternative food items such as sandwiches, salads, fruit chaats and other light refreshments.
