Trucks stationed at Koodal Nagar goods shed, in protest against the new parking levy. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement Mahatma Gandhi Goods Shed and Warehouse Lorry Owners and Drivers Welfare Association has been observing a strike from March 23 in protest against the collection of excessive parking fee for trucks at Koodal Nagar Goods Shed. The existing parking area was developed by spending huge amounts towards filling sand and leveling the land for operational convenience. However, without any prior intimation or consultation, parking charges of ₹3,600 and ₹4,500 per month for different categories of vehicles had been imposed, alleged S.
