The second day of the annual Vasanthotsavams at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara on Tuesday witnessed a vibrant display of devotion and ritual grandeur, as thousands of pilgrims thronged the mada streets to take part in the festivities.

The processional deities of Lord Malayappa Swamy, along with His consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi, were taken out in a grand procession on the dazzling golden chariot amid a spiritually charged atmosphere.

In the afternoon, the priests ceremoniously rendered ‘Snapana Tirumanjanam’ on the deities at the Vasantha Mandapam located at the South-West corner of the hill temple.

The temple’s Pedda and Chinna Jeeyar Swamys, along with TTD Executive Officer M. Ravichandra and Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, took part in the religious proceedings.

Meanwhile, the TTD announced the cancellation of the Pournami Garudaseva scheduled for April 1, in view of the ongoing Vasanthotsavams.
