The 100th issue of academic journal Littcrit will be released at the senate chamber of Kerala University on April 8.

The event is being organised as part of the journal’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Founded in 1975 under the leadership of P.K. Rajan, Littcrit has made a significant impact on academic circles in India and abroad over five decades.

The journal has featured contributions from several renowned scholars and writers including Mulk Raj Anand, Fredric Jameson, Ayyappa Paniker, Terry Eagleton, Jonathan Dollimore, K.R. Srinivasa Iyengar, G.N. Devy, Pramod K. Nayar, K. Satchidanandan, Shashi Tharoor, and Geetha Hariharan.

The first copy of the 100th issue will be released by Udaya Kumar, Professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University, and handed over to noted critic E.V. Ramakrishnan. The function will be presided over by the journal’s editor, Prof. P.P. Ajayakumar.

Lal C.A., Head of the Institute of English, Kerala University; Kalyani Vallath, P.N. Prakash, and B. Hariharan will also speak on the occasion.
