“Success differs from person to person, and there is no single definition for it. But as a student, if you set a goal now, it is going to shape the next forty years of your life,” said G. Selvakumar, Director – Engineering & Scientific Research and Strategic Collaborations, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (VMRF), Chennai Campus, on Sunday at The Hindu EducationPlus Career Counselling Fair ‘26. “Success can also be said as it is who you are and who you want to be,” he said.

Speaking about the importance of continuous learning, he said lifelong learning is utmost essential as people now have a “second life” after retirement. “Degrees and skills will play a role that is transformative along with the right attitude. A degree is only an entry point to opportunities, while attitude will lead you to growth,” he said.
