The special court for POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act cases here has awarded imprisonment unto death to a labourer who sexually assaulted a four-year-old girl. According to prosecution, Lakshmanakumar, 45, of Cheranmahadevi sexually assaulted a four-year-old girl in 2023 and the Cheranmahadevi All Women Police arrested him based on the complaint from the victim’s mother.
