Rama Rao on Thursday and requested him to bring pressure on the government to resolve their issue. The delegation expressed concern over non-allotment of work even months after their appointment. Over 5,000 licensed surveyors were also awaiting the government decision on their pay fixation. The delay in decision-making by the government is worry us, they said. Speaking to the surveyors, Mr. Rama Rao said the government was doing injustice to the licensed surveyors selected after bringing Bhu Bharathi in place of Dharani. The Karnataka government had made arrangements ensuring respectable remuneration to the licensed surveyors, but in Telangana, the Congress government was doing injustice. The licensed surveyors submitted a memorandum to Mr. Rama Rao and explained that they were being asked to turn up at the tahsildar (MRO) offices in the morning and made to sit idle till evening every day without giving them any work. They attributed the problems to lack of clear policy/guidelines on the allotment of work to them. Mr. Rama Rao stressed the need for allotment of work to every licensed surveyor transparently.
